During a day that is intended to celebrate the nation's independence (something, that as a history lover, I just don't celebrate for multiple reasons that I'll not go into here). Needless to say, my quest to enjoy spending time with my friends let me around the heart of the state of Maryland and into DC. It was a roundabout "what are we going to do today" sort of thing, but it allowed me to sit and watch the scenery of our nation.

I thought some of you would like to read this, and maybe give a little lift to your spirit. My friend in France sent this to me a couple days after the election. Hope you enjoy it.

I'm sorry for your country, i'm disappointed and sad, surely just like you, I know how much you hoped that the young people votes and you wanted that Kerry became president, I can understand your sorrow.

I would belive that the people don't votes for Bush, I'm feel lost maybe like you. I wish it hadn't hurt you so strong, I prefer to know that you will be better soon.

I'm sure, one day, when tv will be burn, burn fox tv, cnn, this is the media which distort all, they so easily handles the public opignon in your country.

I hope about better days, I'm with you, to sharing your pain, you'll fight against Bush's government and fucking neo-conservator!
